Honours

         Sir Arthur Currie was noted for many honours. Currie was knighted in 1918. He was named a Knight Commander of the Order of the Bath after the Second Battle of Ypres in 1915. He received the Legion of Honour, Croix de Guerre and the Belgian Croix de guerre. Also, he received the Order of the Crown and the U.S Distinguished Service Medal. Currie was mentioned in dispatches 9 times. After the war Sir Arthur Currie was offered the position of Principal and Vice-Chancellor of McGill University in Montreal, Canada. An he eventually became a trustee of the Carnegie Foundation.

 

In 1934  the Canadian Corps held a reunion  and the pin for the reunion showed Currie on it
