Sir Arthur Currie's Significance to WWI

        Sir Arthur Currie was an excellent tactician, skillful with artillery, careful in his planning and most importantly, he was especially cautious of the lives of his men. This cautiousness was very important to Canada during WWI because it reduced the amount of casualties to Canada and it was something other war Generals were not. Sir Arthur Currie should be remembered for his extraordinarily efforts as General and how he led his corps through the horror of many battles, including the Second Battle of Ypres, The Battle of Somme, Vimy Ridge and Passchendaele. He was one of the most successful and effective corp commanders in any army during the war’s final months. Currie received and deserved enormous praise and many people have described Currie as Canada's greatest military commander. While under Currie's command, Canadians never lost a battle. Overall, Arthur Currie used his extraordinary tactical skills to help quicken the end of WWI.
